Acer Dives into the Android Platform with Liquid A1
Acer has just announced that they are also going the Android way, dumping Winmo 6.5, with the anouncement of Liquid A1 which reportedly sports a 1GHz Snapdragon Processor, a 800 x 480 WVGA capacitive touchscreen and runs on Android 1.6 aka “Donut” It also boasts of providing easy access to entertainment and web bookmarks along with longer battery life for power users.
The detailed features of Liquid A1 are as follows:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz chipset which runs on Android 1.6 aka “Donut”
- 800×480 Wide VGA Capacitive Touchscreen
- A 5MP camera with geo-tagging, ISO, self-timer options, auto-focus etc
- Comes in 3 colors namely, White, Red and Black
- Specially designed power management for a longer battery life.
- Integration with many of the popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Picasa etc.
- New user interface with easy access to all the entertainment and web bookmarks
- Free streaming of music and video from around the world via ‘Spinlets’ app that can shared with your contacts via email or the web.
