Apple app store for iOS updated – brings account edit option right on your phone



Apple has updated the app store for iOS to version 2.1. The new version makes the app now available in Netherlands and adds couple of new features.

What’s New in Version 2.1

- Choose iPhone plans from all three U.S. carriers — AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint (U.S. Only)
- Make your shopping experience even more convenient with new account management editing and billing options.
- The Apple Store app is now available in the Netherlands.
- Requires iOS 4.3.3 or higher.

Apple has added the ability to change your billing options right from your phone. The new Account section, that’s been added with the new version brings ability to change your billing information as well as shipping address. Previously, users had to login to their account via Apple’s website to do so.

After Apple’s acquisition of Chomp startup, Apple is soon expected to completely overhaul the app store and make app discovery quite easy peasy for users.
