Asus unveils the most powerful Windows 7 tablet yet: Asus Eee Slate Ep121

ASUS inaugurated the CES 2011 with an unofficial event and unveiled a self proclaimed “the most powerful tablet”.

This CES I’m particularly interested in watching what companies do with Windows 7 or Windows Phone 7 based tablets. If you look at the specifications Asus have already delivered a Windows 7 tablet with mind blowing specifications. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself

Specifications:

  • 12.1-inch IPS display with a 1280×800 resolution on a multitouch screen
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-470UM
  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • Memory: 64GB SSD; 4GB system memory
  • Connectivity: Wireless-N, HDMI, USB, Bluetooth 3.0, SD card reader
  • Camera: 2.0-megapixel with flash LED
  • Digitizer pen
  • Internal mic and stereo speaker
  • Unit dimensions: 312x207x16.95mm, 2.5 pounds

The tablet also claims to have three hours of battery life but I won’t put my life on it considering it sports Core i5. Asus stated that Eee Slate EP121 will be available in the first quarter at a price range of $999 to $1,099.
