Confirmed: Motorola To Bring Nexus Two

Alright, its going to shower cats and dogs oops i mean Android and more Android in 2010. Just today, LG electronics announced that they would launch 20 Mobile devices this year and most of them would run on Android OS. So, its not only LG to shower us with plenty of choice but also Motorola plans to launch around 20-30 mobile devices. And one of them is going to be the Next Google phone.

On a conference call with analysts on Thursday, co-CEO Sanjay Jha drafted the company’s plans to introduce 20 smartphones this year including "one direct to consumer device with Google." "We are just at the beginning stage of our transition to a smartphone company," co-CEO Jha said on the earnings conference call.

Motorola, has sold around 12 million mobile devices and 2 millions of them being Android powered phone. It’s inevitable for the company to ignore this statics and surely they would want to cash on the Android success. Going by the success of Google powered Nexus One manufactured by HTC, would Motorola be able to keep the hype? HTC is known for manufacturing awesomest devices out there. Take the case of HTC HD2, even though powered by poorly maintained Windows mobile, it managed to sail through the hype thanks to HTCs Sense UI. Would Motorola be able to regenerate the hype again and deliver awesome device? Going by Motorola’s portfolio, It managed to give one hit device: Droid, which again was powered by Android, so it shouldn’t be difficult.
