Fring Updates its Symbian and Android Client

Fring, One of the most popular mobile chat application, recently updated its Symbian client to v4.1 and its Android Client to v1.2.0.25

New features in the Symbian Client:

  • Changing your status Made Easier: You can now let your friends know if you are online, busy, or stay invisible within a click of a button!
  • DTMF: You can now use DTMF within a call by dialing “#” (“pound”) and “*” (“star”) through the new fring dialer.
  • Twitter 2.0 for Touch devices: A brand new twitter 2.0 now makes it easier for you to post your tweets, retweets, see your timeline, follow people and links on one screen & easily navigate between them.
  • Live Links: Fring Chat now possesses live links to make your chats much more livelier.
  • In-Chat Advertising: In Chat Advertising has now been rolled out into more symbian devices.

New features in the Android Client:

  • Hide/Show offline buddies.
  • Hide/Show address book.
  • Privacy settings for IM signature and mood message.
  • A fix for the audio issues on Motorola DROID and Milestone.
  • Better support for Google’s Nexus One.
  • Regular Bug fixes.
