Google might replace Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha with Dennis Woodside
Google is rumored to replace Motorola CEO, Sanjay Jha with Google’s own executive Dennis Woodside once Google completely takes over Motorola, reports Bloomberg.
Dennis Woodside headed Google’s advertising sales in America before supervising the Google-Motorola deal.
Christy Wyatt, Motorola’s senior vice president, and John Bucher, the company’s chief strategy officer are also said to be the favorite other candidates.
The Google-Motorola deal has already received a nod from the European Union and US officials. Google will be buying Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion which will also give Google access to Motorola’s vast patent portfolio with about 17,000 patents. Google is said to have bought the company mostly for the patents which will help Android in its legal battles.
Google has said to keep Motorola Mobility as a seperate business unit
