Nokia 5230 Gets v20.0.005 firmware

Nokia 5230 seems to have got a new firmware update to v20.0.005 from its previous firmware v11.0.079.

In this new firmware, the Music Player of Nokia 5230 seems to have got a new layout and the speed of the device has also improved overall.

Nokia 5230 v20.0.005 Firmware Changelog:

  • New music player
  • Quality of Photos taken from the camera has improved.
  • The Speed of the device has improved overall.
  • Kinetic Scrolling menu.
  • Ovi Sync.
  • Phone Hack not working.

You can update the device to the new firmware using either inbuilt OTA (Over The Air) or Nokia Software Updater on your PC.

Although Nokia 5230 has support for UDP (User Data Preservation), we highly recommend you to backup all your phone data, before updating your phone, so that you dont lose any data accidentally.

However, if your device does not detect any new firmware, then probably, you might have to wait for a little while more, since it might have not reached your region product code yet. The firmware update will eventually roll out to all product codes of Nokia 5230.
