Samsung files patent to turn digital phone to phone skin
Samsung has filed for patent that will allow users to take a digital photo or image wallpaper and electronically wrap it around their entire device.
Although Samsung’s patent just covers minimal feature, Nokia released a concept video last year which shows the potential of this feature. Check out the video:
In the above video, Nokia’s entire device skin is touch-interactive while in Samsung’s patent it illustrates setting up the device-skin or film layer on a device will include a user interface with input fields for image settings and activation. Nonetheless, a very cool concept.
