Samsung Galaxy S to arrive in Singapore first



Samsung Galaxy S, which was announced by Samsung last week will first arrive in Singapore.

In a joint announcement with Samsung, Singtel stated that they will start selling the device from June 4, 2010,  for a price of SG$1098 ($780 USD) without a contract. However the device will be available for $0 with a 2 -year contract.

Following this launch, the device will then be launched in Australia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia by Optus, AIS, Globe and Telkomsel respectively.

Powered by the 1GHz Hummingbird Processor, Samsung Galaxy S runs on Android 2.1 with 2.2 update coming soon and features a 4″ Super AMOLED touchscreen with resolution of 800×480 and mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) support.
