Samsung Wave gets an update to bada version 1.0.2

Samsung has released a new firmware of Bada – Bada V1.0.2Although this version does not bring any major changes but just fixes some bugs and major email bug. The update is already available in

  • Belgium
  • Czech
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Ireland
  • Kazakhstan
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Serbia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland and
  • United Kingdom.

It is said that the update will be made available in Asia soon. You can update the firmware with KIES.

    Will the update be available in South Africa?
    I live the phone, but there are some things that irritates the crap out of me… like the lack of a propper back function, the inability to view phone numbers whilst in a call and a number of other things.

    After the uodate to bada 1.02 finally exchange Active sync is available (along with a few other nice features). Unfortunately it also seems to have brought along some bugs too. For instance , siche the update to 1.02 my wave seems to be a bit slower in the performance. Video playback when fast forwarded/rewinded jumps directly to eno or begin of clip (previously it would ff or frw by 10 sec.) but most annoying of all is that sice the opdate I now experience spontaneous reboots of the system during operation without warning

    Easy to say – update via KIES – but this does not work even after all different suggestions ranging from cgange of pc to closing down all programs etc etc etc. When do we get a KIES without problems? Understand you get millions of hits when looking for KIES problems…Too bad Samsung – Nice phone, shitty support – again.

    Yes there is one in SA. You need to contact Samsung SA and they will reffer you to the nearest Samsung service centre to you.

    The newest firmware is JH1 i think witch includes 1.0.2.

    when i go to upgrade my firmware, it says, your firmware is up to date, JE7 shows up as firmware, tried to update kies also, and up to date too, im in ireland so update is availalble here,!!! HELP????

    It just stinks though I’m having Youtube concerns with my Samsung Wave: Bada and for the first 2 weeks it worked fine, now? BUSTED :( Asked my Provider about it: They say Contact Youtube. I contacted Youtube: They tell me to ask my Provider: Rogers. Bahhhh!! Kinda wish at times, since it doesn’t work, why can’t I just Uninstall it? Wish they would have added that feature.

    But no updates for Canada or USA, this bites. Hurry up, I want an update, maybe it could fix my Youtube issue.

    But I will say this, the only problem I ever had with this phone is that dang Youtube feature. It was definitely a good switch from my Blackberry Pearl problems. (everything with that phone was a problem: Updates would crash, not fix errors, You reset your phone to how it was in the beginning and it didn’t.
    The worst thing was the crappy Video that it took.

    Kudos: My Samsung Wave takes alot better videos than my Blackberry Pearl ever did.
    Also I haven’t been losing important phone calls with my Samsung Wave either (Very important to me too, because I live on the 18th floor of a 25 floor apartment building: The BB Pearl would never allow me to make phone calls unless I stood on the balcony of my apartment: This included the dead of winter too)
