Sweden To Enjoy 4G network While India Is Still Stuck At Unaffordable 3G
The Scandinavians are the first to enjoy the 4G network. TeliaSonera launched its 4G network in two cities in sweden, which promises wireless download speeds of up to 100 megabits per second.
TeliaSonera will roll out its 4G service to 25 cities in Norway and Sweden in 2010. This happens exactly at the same time when 3G auction in India keeps on delaying for the hundredth time now. If it takes almost as long as 2years just to conduct 3G auctions, how long will it take to deploy it? Will 3G be obsolete in other part of world by the time 3G comes to India?
Would Government consider totally scrapping 3G and look forward to launch 4G in India instead? Should it be done? What are your views?
