wpToGo – WordPress On Go for Android

We all know that WordPress has a dedicated iPhone app and blackberry app for blogging. It would have been better if WordPress also released an Android version for it. Nevertheless, wpToGo app for Android offers everything that we need for blogging on WordPress.

 

Before you start using this app on your Android phone, you have to enable XML-RPC on your blog. Now, whether its wordpress hosted or self hosted, it doesn’t really matter. WordPress allows you to connect any 3rd party app to its database via XML-RPC.

Once you have enable it from your WordPress dashboard, all you need to do is enter your blog credentials and you are ready to go.

 

 

The best part of wpToGo is it lets you add multiple accounts, so you can manage multiple blogs from within one app. It lets you add posts, upload photos, and view comments. It would have been better if you could also moderate the comments which they might introduce in future versions .

Weighing at 110KB, You can also set-up notifications for new comments with a tap of the menu key and notification settings. Settings for image size can be adjusted. Overall I would rate it 3/5.
